An important part of our Waldorf-inspired home life is natural play. We feel that toys made from natural materials are beautiful, feel so much nicer to play with and are a wonderful way for our children to connect to the outside world through play.
The lovely Christina from Bamboletta sent me this picture of the natural baby doll she has made for my little girls. Bamboletta dolls are handcrafted and are made from 100% natural materials. They are stuffed with sheeps wool which means they are very warming for K and L to cuddle, so much nicer than a cold, hard, plastic doll. After many months of searching for the perfect Waldorf doll last year, I custom ordered a 14 inch Bamboletta Girl for K for Christmas. She is called Mia and is played with many times each day. She is so well loved I thought it would be nice to have a baby doll for the play area. I know K and L are going to love caring for their new baby doll. She is being shipped over from Canada right now and we can't wait for her to come to her new home. Thank you Christina, for making two wonderful dolls, which will be cherished by our little girls.
