As the sun was setting, the children went chasing through the archway leading to the town market square squealing as they went. The Autumn fair lights shone as the light faded. As we waited to cross the road, Little L jumped up and down on the spot in excitement, her face lit up with joy. A little moment I would like to remember forever. Her sister grabbed her hand as they ran towards the fair, the smell of candly floss and sugared doughnuts filling the air. The ground was sprinkled with crisp, fallen leaves.
Apple day, pumpkin time, the fair, bonfire night... these are the high notes of our Autumn time.
